Half day Panching Cave and Waterfall tour (3 hours)

08.30 hrs A Thai-Buddhist Cave Temple can be found in the Bukit Charah limestone outcrop situated north west of Kuantan. Towering above palm oil and rubber plantations, this temple is simply a must see. A short climb up a narrow footway leads to the entrance, and it is the main cathedral cave where the 9 meters Reclining Buddha lies. All noon, when sunlight penetrates through a natural opening in the roof, the Buddha figure is lit up. Not so far away in a Nature Reserve where there is an Arboretum for Rattan, is a beautiful cascading waterfall. Don’t miss a cool and refreshing dip in the natural pool.

Kuantan Night Turtle Watch Tour (3 hours)

20.00 hrs The return of the sea-faring turtles to East-coast beaches to lay their eggs is a yearly affair. Watch as the giant turtles lumber up to the beaches and the “tears” they produce after they lay their eggs as they make their way back to the open sea. Today, these nesting grounds are monitored by the Malaysian Fisheries Department. The best period to witness this is from May to September, especially during high tide.
